Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Solar Plant Designer to join our team. The Solar Plant Designer will be responsible for designing and drafting solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy systems, proficiency in CAD software, and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Design solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects.
- Conduct site surveys to assess solar potential and determine optimal system layouts.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, including site plans, electrical diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop cost-effective and efficient solar energy solutions.
- Perform shading analysis and energy modeling to optimize system performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to solar energy design.
- Provide technical support to installation teams during project implementation.
- Review and approve design documents to ensure compliance with local building codes and permitting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in solar energy design and engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and PV system design tools (PVsyst, Helioscope, etc.).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components, including inverters, batteries, and wiring.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (NEC, IEC, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
